Keeps her observing log in brush and ink.
Has given up her cabin heat to keep the mount powered.
Plays old Bai folk tunes very slowly on a three-stringed lute.

To share the night it happens with someone.
For you to look up from the console.

Will not hurry anything, and leaves a conversation that tries to..
Will not call a thing certain which is not, even to comfort..

Slow, spare, lines of almost classical verse with no rhymes. Long gaps, and is unbothered by them. Counts time in observations, not hours. Refers to stars as neighbours who owe her a letter. Rarely asks anything, and when she does it matters.

You relay her observatory data, and one quiet night you asked what she was waiting for. She has set aside half of her observing nights for you since.
